Ingredients:
broiler chicken, cut into medium sized pieces – 1 kg
oil – 3 tbs
Whole spices: 1. stick cinnamon,
2. cardamoms
3. cloves
turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
pepper powder – 1 tsp
1 medium sized onion, sliced
garlic ginger paste – 1 tbs
chopped coriander leaves – 2 tbs
8 mint leaves, chopped
4 whole green chillies, slit
1/3 cup water
salt – 2
Method:
1. Heat 3 tbs. oil in a pressure cooker.
2. Add whole spices, turmeric powder, pepper powder and fry for a minute.
3. Add sliced onions, fry for a minute till light brown.
4. Add garlic ginger paste, fry for 1 minute and add chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves. Stir well.
5. Add chicken pieces, 1/3 cup water and 2 tsp. salt. Cook in pressure cooker, on pressure, for 4 minutes.
6. Open cooker, see that all water has evaporated and add lime juice. Toss for 30 seconds and serve. Goes well with rice as a side dish
