Garlic Puli curry

Ingredients:

1. Garlic – 1 Cup
2.Tamarind juice(thick) – 1/4 Cup
3.Tomato – 4 medium size
4.Methi seeds – 1 Tbspn
5.onion (small) – 1/2 Cup
6.Curry leaves – few
7.Red chilli powder – 2 Tbspn/Coriander – 3 Tbspn or Alternatively readymade chilli curry powder – 4 tbspn.
8.Turmeric – 1 Tspn
9.sesame/til Oil – 1/4 Cup
10.Salt – to taste
11.Water – 2 Cups

Method:
Heat the oil in a pan/Kadai.Fry methi seeds till golden brown followed by Garlic pods and onion.Fry till they becomes soft.Add curry leaves, and chopped tomoto and fry them in medium flame. After tomato gets half cooked, add turmeric powder, chilli powder,coriander powder, tamarind paste,salt and water. Allow them to boil till consistency of the gravy is thick. Finally add one tablespoon Ghee/ sesame oil and turn off the heat.
Tip: For those who dont like spicy taste, grind a little coconut with 1 tspn pepper and add to the gravy instead of adding oil/ghee finally and allow it to one boil.
